MTO the orginal has been total revamped and renamed

Over the past few weeks I have rebuilt the original Music Teacher's Office for private music teachers and have renamed it Private Music Teacher's Office or Private MTO.

I did this for a number of reasons. One, it was dated and needed an update. Two, it is really the same application as MTOPro but with out features so it will really be like maintaining one set of code rather than two. Three, I have added an advertising scheme to the teaching pages to generate some revenue to keep things going.

All in all I am very happy with the new product as the features now will make it easy for users to go from one MTO to the next.

Problems with schedule setting MTO

I'm testing this software and can't select schedules. I follow help, but no matter what date and time I select for the first student it defaults to Friday 8:15 am.

Move PrivateMTODB.mdb to default location?

Hello,
I installed the program, started it up, and this pops up: "Problems connecting to database. Move PrivateMTODB.mdb to default location."

I would gladly move the file to the "default location" if I knew where that location is. So my question is, what is the default location for the PrivateMTODB.mdb file?

Installation Prerequisite Problems

I would very much like to download MTO, but am having trouble installing.

We have a new laptop computer with Windows XP. MTO software requires MS .Net Framework version 1.1. My computer already has version 2.0. I get an error when I try to install MTO saying I need .Net Framework v. 1.1. When I attempt to download from MS - they tell me I already have version 2.0 installed (which I do).

Also, MTO requires MS Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.7. On the MS site, only version 2.8 is available. When I attempt to download this, it tells me that it's not compatible/needed with our version of Windows because it already has all the features of MDAC.

Therefore, I can't install MTO and it seems like just what I need. Please help!!!

Adding Parents, Students and Registrations

We have been made aware that on some monitors, the flat panel and older monitors that the changing color of the text boxes is not easily apparent.

When you click Add or Edit button when adding Parents, Students and Registrations the text boxes to be filled in or that can be edited turn blue. This is to let the user know that an action is about to happen, and that the when you hit the Save button, which has now been activated the information in the text boxes will be saved. This is to prevent users from inadvertantly saving the wrong information.

We are aware of this problem and will correct this on the next version as soon as possible.

If you are aware of any other problems or bugs please let us know.

Setting the defaults can be a tricky thing. The good news is that once they are set it make your life much easier in the long run.
